Molecular Imaging (DR/NM) Residency Program

Dual board certification in diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine.
With the goal of training the next generation of leaders in molecular imaging, Johns Hopkins has created a combined residency track in diagnostic and nuclear radiology, both programs are individually ACGME-accredited.
Following the completion of four years of diagnostic radiology, residents join the nuclear medicine division for a dedicated year of specialized training in molecular imaging. The resident will gain outstanding clinical training in both disciplines and participate in cutting-edge research in a program under the direction of Erin Gomez M.D and Martin Pomper, M.D., Ph.D.. Dr. Solnes is an Associate Professor while Dr. Pomper is a Professor and the Director of the Division of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. Both are dedicated to research and training in molecular imaging from laboratory-based studies to clinical translation of new imaging and theranostic agents and techniques.
Trainees will be eligible to sit for both the American Board of Radiology and American Board of Nuclear Medicine examinations. The combined DR/NM track will train residents to be highly competitive and exceptionally prepared for careers in academic and private nuclear radiology practices. Graduating residents may also choose to complete an additional diagnostic radiology fellowship if desired.
Application Information:
We will be matching one resident in this track in the 2022 match for the 2023-2024 academic year. We accept applications through ERAS starting September 1st. Interviews will take place through November and into the first weekend of December. Match day will be held on March 18th.
