Ko Pen Wang Interventional Pulmonary Fellowship
Overview
The academic interventional pulmonology (IP) fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University offers training in and all aspects of interventional pulmonology to create the next generation of IP leaders. The unique structure of the fellowship positions our graduates to start their careers with skill sets for success. Fellowship training is based on mastery competency of clinical/ procedural skills, systems based management, education, and research.

Structure
Clinical (Year 1)
Twelve months of advance clinical training in interventional pulmonology (IP). This includes training in advance diagnostic bronchoscopy, therapeutic airway, and pleural procedures. IP fellows have an academic appointment at the University and attend our bi-monthly conference/ national meetings. Fellows attend the weekly IP clinic and chest tumor board.
Research (Optional, Year 2)
Twelve months of IP research and experimental procedures. Research fellows conduct an individual investigator initiated study as well as participating in ongoing faculty research projects. Given the breath of research being conducted, projects can range from basic science, animal, and clinical research. Fellows register for relevant graduate level courses at our school of Public Health, Business, or Education.
