What is the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP)?

The DPP is an evidence-based yearlong program for people who have prediabetes and are overweight or obese. This lifestyle change program helps participants to achieve a healthier lifestyle through diet, increased physical activity and weight loss. The DPP is based on decades of research, including research done here at Johns Hopkins.
