Welcome to the Crowe Society!
It is an honor to lead the Crowe Society with the Crowe executive committee and council: Jack Borders, Carole Fakhry, Ira Papel, Doug Reh and Director David Eisele. Many thanks to our president for the past two years, Alan Shikani, for his significant time and effort to revitalize our society.
The Crowe Society is strong; we currently have 450 members and an endowed resident education fund of $450,000. The annual interest from the endowment is used to support resident training and research activities, travel to conferences, meals during grand rounds and more, as well as to advance the art and science of otolaryngology by promoting educational and community functions. The newly created Iee Ching Wu Anderson, M.D., Resident Retreat Fund is an endowment established by Iee Ching’s family to provide a social activity to promote friendships and bonding among our residents.
Many of us have fond memories from our time at Johns Hopkins and are grateful for the opportunity of being trained by some of the greatest leaders in otolaryngology. Much has been given to all of us, and it is our turn to give back and help future generations of Johns Hopkins residents. Please donate generously; your gift is fully tax deductible and it will make a big difference. For those who wish to donate to the Crowe Society, use this secure link: secure.jhu.edu/form/oto.
We will continue the DocMatter social media platform established in 2017 for our Crowe members. This closed-group program encourages fellowship among alumni by allowing large group and individual postings/communication. Many of our graduates have expressed an interest in staying in touch with the department and remaining connected with their Crowe colleagues.
If you need to update your email address and/or join DocMatter Crowe Society, please send a message to Development Director Donna Clare email@example.com. I enjoy working with the members to advance the society’s mission and would like to hear your suggestions. Thank you for remaining engaged with the Crowe Society.
