MEDIA ADVISORY: Johns Hopkins Medicine’s A Woman’s Journey Hosts Special Live and Virtual Event on Advances in Medicine and Women’s Health

WHAT: A Woman’s Journey will host an in-person and virtual hybrid event, with Johns Hopkins Medicine experts, to delve into the latest medical advances in the areas of cancer, nutrition, COVID-19, neurology and more. The event is specifically focused on presenting updates for conditions faced predominantly by women with the goal of empowering them to seize control of their health and make informed decisions about their medical care.

After a keynote speaker and three presentations, attendees have the option to meet with Johns Hopkins Medicine experts on-site during the Morning Rounds event to discuss a diverse range of topics including breast cancer, stress, sleep, GI conditions, menopausal conditions and more.

PRESENTATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Bimal Ashar, M.D. will discuss the topic of supplements to improve memory, as well as unregulated vitamins and supplements on the market.
  • Alexander Pantelyat, M.D. will speak on the relationship between music and memory, and how music may be medicine for the brain.
  • Alison Klein, Ph.D., M.H.S. will cover symptoms that shouldn’t go ignored, and will also discuss a new test that can detect multiple, early-stage cancers.

Proof of vaccination and first boosters, as well as indoor masking, are required for the in-person event. Please note, the keynote speaker and presentations will be available via Zoom for virtual attendees, but the Morning Rounds event is only in-person.
