Menopause Webinar – Dr. Wen Shen
Background
Wen Shen is an assistant professor in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics and director of the Johns Hopkins Colposcopy Clinic.
A board-certified gynecologist, Dr. Shen specializes in treating women with perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms superimposed on other chronic medical problems. She works alongside her patients’ primary care physicians and will recommend non-hormonal therapies and alternative treatment options for these conditions.
Dr. Shen’s research interests include HPV in perimenopausal women and hormone therapies for menopausal women with autoimmune disease. She has published numerous articles and book chapters on menopause and perimenopause. Dr. Shen is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the North American Menopause Society.
Dr. Shen earned a master’s degree in public health from Tulane University and her medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed her medical residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2005.
