Salia Farrokh, PharmD
Dr. Salia Farrokh is a neurocritical care clinical pharmacy specialist at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and an assistant professor in the department of anesthesiology and critical care medicine. She serves on the board of directors for the Neurocritical Care Society. Dr. Farrokh specializes in optimizing pharmacotherapy for neurocritical care patients and has developed nationally recognized protocols for neurological emergencies, including the brain attack team optimization program.
Ho Yan (Karen) Yiu, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP
Karen earned her Bachelor of Science in brain, behavior and cognitive science from the University of Michigan, where she also completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She went on to complete a one-year pharmacy practice residency at the Veterans Affairs Central California Health Care System in Fresno, California. She is board-certified in critical care pharmacy and pharmacotherapy specialty. She enjoys the challenge and fast-paced environment of neurocritical care and is committed to optimizing pharmacotherapy for her patients.
Colleen Whyte, PharmD, BCCCP
Colleen is a neuroscience and neurocritical care clinical pharmacy specialist at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center (JHBMC). She received her doctorate of pharmacy degree at Concordia University – Wisconsin School of Pharmacy and completed a year of residency at Aurora Health Care, followed by a second year residency in critical care at Christiana Care. She joined The Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2018 as a general intensive care pharmacist and later transitioned to her current role at JHBMC. Her goals include working with nursing leadership to improve NCCU policies and protocols, as well as precepting of pharmacy students and residents.
