The Facility
- 122,000 net square feet
- Working space for 400+ researchers and staff
- Engineering support areas separate each of the five laboratory floors. The interstitial design will allow building services to be installed and modified without interruption of research activities on floors above and below.
- Additional faculty and graduate student offices are also located on these intermediate levels, connected to the main lab floors by connecting stairs located in interaction spaces on each floor.
- In addition to laboratories and offices, the building houses support spaces which include a 6,000-square-foot vivarium, a BL-3 lab, glass wash, irradiators, and laboratory services.
