About Us

Mission



Develop a strategic initiative to advance understanding of immune-related toxicity through collaborative research networks, and improve outcomes for patients experiencing irAEs through education and quality initiatives

Research Aims

Understand immunologic basis of irAEs
Determine risk factors for developing irAEs
Develop tailored, mechanistic strategies for treating and preventing irAEs
Evaluate strategies for decoupling toxicity from anti-tumor immunity
Determine best practices for caring for high-risk patients treated with immunotherapy

Vision

The immune-related toxicity team is a multidisciplinary group of physicians, nurses and researchers who work together to provide a comprehensive approach to the care and study of immune-related adverse events (irAEs). Efforts of the immune-related toxicity team include optimizing clinical care pathways to provide timely, accessible and appropriate care; advancing understanding and management of toxicities through clinical and translational research; and providing educational initiatives for clinicians, nurses and patients.
