Our pediatric emergency medicine faculty members are valued educators and many have been honored for their work. Awards and recognition include:

  • Several inductions into the Distinguished Teaching Society of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
  • Several members have received the Alexander “Buck” Schaeffer Award and the Teaching Honor Roll Award in recognition of outstanding contribution to the clinical teaching of Harriet Lane Residency house officers.
  • Multiple faculty members have won the Frederick J. Heldrich Award for dedication and outstanding contribution to medical student teaching.
  • A member of our faculty has been recognized for commitment to the Baltimore community through the Martin Luther King Jr. Award for Community Service. This award recognizes outstanding commitment to volunteer service by members of the Johns Hopkins community.
