Team Hopkins Kids 2020

Team Hopkins Kids 2017

Team Hopkins Kids provides community members the opportunity to run (or walk!) any race in the Baltimore Running Festival while raising funds for Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.

This year, we will instead be joining forces with another signature event at the Children’s Center, Baltimore Boogie, for an exciting new virtual event — KIDS CAN’T WAIT: 30 Day Miracle Movement for Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.

This 30-day challenge will begin the weekend of the Baltimore Running Festival on Friday, Oct. 16, with opening ceremonies, followed by a virtual run (we will provide race routes!) on Saturday, Oct. 17. KIDS CAN'T WAIT will continue through Nov. 14, culminating in a virtual Baltimore Boogie.

We hope you will join us for a virtual Team Hopkins Kids Race on Saturday, Oct. 17. We will provide some suggested running routes and will kick off that morning together over a virtual platform, and we will conclude the morning with a closing ceremony. More details to follow, but please check out the amazing incentives you can receive by reaching our Miracle Mover fundraising milestones.

Register today to move for the kids!

As this year’s event is fully virtual, we are waiving the registration fees and fundraising minimums that have traditionally accompanied participating in Team Hopkins Kids. We hope to host an in-person team in partnership with the Baltimore Running Festival again in future years.

History of the Johns Hopkins Children's Center Race Team

In 2007, Team Sadie began participating in the Baltimore Running Festival to raise money in support of Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in memory of Sadie Elizabeth Abell. After raising nearly $1 million, Team Sadie officially passed the baton to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center to carry on the mission by creating a team for the 2017 Baltimore Running Festival. Team Hopkins Kids has raised nearly $600,000 for 20 divisions and programs at the Children’s Center since its inception.
