Fellowship Virtual Recruitment

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in infectious diseases, an incredibly rich, diverse, and gratifying specialty. The bounds of our specialty know no limits, spanning pathogenesis, clinical care, disaster planning, infection control and prevention, immunology and vaccine development, public health, social determinants of health, diagnostic testing, and communication skills. Outbreaks and new pandemics (COVID-19, mpox, Ebola) have demonstrated the incredible value of the tireless efforts of infectious diseases experts and advocates everywhere. We are excited for you to join us!

Recruitment in 2025 for our program will be held virtually as a means of ensuring an equitable experience for all applicants. The success of our past virtual recruitment seasons gives us confidence that we will be able to effectively communicate to you the incredibly supportive, dynamic, and rewarding culture of our division and program.

We believe an optimal virtual recruitment experience involves limiting the amount of time applicants spend on their computers during their interview day. To this effect, we have converted to video various components of our recruitment day, including the program director’s overview, welcome messages from additional members of our divisional leadership, and our Tuesday morning infectious diseases grand rounds case conference. We have also compiled videos covering frequently asked questions and important aspects of our program. Each provides a unique view of the many positive aspects of training and working in our division. Prior to your interview day, please ensure you view Dr. Melia’s program overview and as many of the other resources as you have the capacity to review.
