Outpatient Infusion Center
Our outpatient infusion services are designed for patients who need special injections, iron infusions, osteoporosis medications, rabies follow-up vaccines and medications, implanted port care (flush/draw), long-course IV antibiotic therapy, infusions of drugs to treat auto-immune diseases (such as Tysabri® for multiple sclerosis), and transfusion of blood or platelets for chronic anemia and clotting problems due to cancer or other diseases.
Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) and nurses from Johns Hopkins Home Care provide these infusion services in the Medical Arts Building, the building right next to the hospital, on the second floor.

Hospital Infusion Center
Patients who need blood product transfusions and injections, diuretics for congestive heart failure and certain endocrine tests that require blood draws and medication are performed at the hospital’s Infusion Center. Located on the first floor of the Berman Pavilion, The Infusion Center is staffed by two nurses skilled in managing IV infusions and is open Monday through Friday, with appointments available between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Appointments are scheduled to allow for the length of time needed to infuse the medication or blood product.
To schedule an appointment, please go through your physician. If you have questions or need to speak directly to one of the nurses, please call 410-884-4949.
