The Department of Research and Grants Administration (RGA) is dedicated to supporting the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) research mission by providing support and services to those pursuing and conducting sponsored research activities on the Johns Hopkins All Children's campus. RGA offers sponsored research expertise, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and institutional policies. Our goal is to provide excellent service to faculty and staff to advance biomedical research and discovery. 

RGA Responsibilities

RGA is here to partner with out faculty and staff to support the research endeavors of JHACH. We are responsible for:

• Review and submission of all JHACH grant and contract applications

• Review, negotiations and signature of all grant and contract awards

• Drafting, negotiation and signature of all outgoing subaward agreements (subgrants and subcontracts)

• Administration of funding opportunities from Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Foundation

Pre-Award Services

• Identification and communication of funding opportunities -internal and external funding

• Grantsmanship assistance

• Giving access into sponsor systems i.e., eRA Commons ID

• Budget development

• Proposal development assistance, institutional approval and submission

Post-Award Services

• Grant and Contract award negotiations and final execution

• Project set up in the financial system assigning a program/IO number

• Financial and non-financial management and reporting
