Local Health Fairs
Our office in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Government, Community and Economic Partnerships (GCE) and the Brancati Center held a health fair to benefit the residents of the Housing Authority of Baltimore City. The fair included participation from several Johns Hopkins departments as well as some local organizations offering free medical and social services. The Brancati Center offered A1c and blood pressure screening and through their collaboration with Walgreens Pharmacy, COVID/Flu/RSV vaccines were available free to attendees. There were 80 to 100 residents in attendance. These health fairs will continue annually at several locations throughout Baltimore city. Read the event summary.
Hopkins CARES
Career, Academic, and Research Experiences for Students (CARES) summer programs provide graduate, undergraduate and high school students with opportunities to learn and work in settings across the Johns Hopkins medical campus in order to develop their skills and prepare for careers in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.
