Suburban Hospital is offering a flu vaccine clinic at the 25th Annual Come Back to Bethesda event on Saturday, October 3 from noon until 3pm. The hospital’s booth will be near the Tastee Diner at the intersection of Woodmont and Norfolk Avenues in downtown Bethesda.
No appointment is necessary. You must be 18 years of age or older to receive the shot. Cost of the flu shot is $25. Cash, check and major credit cards are accepted. The hospital cannot bill Medicare/Medicaid. Receipts are available for insurance purposes.
The CDC recommends a yearly flu vaccine for everyone 6 months of age and older as the first and most important step in protecting against this serious disease. While there are many different flu viruses, the flu vaccine is designed to protect against the main flu strains that research indicates will cause the most illness during the flu season.
