Germantown grandmother Linda Hall and her daughter Tania were one family who benefited from this year's Adopt-a-Family program.
Bethesda, Md., (December 19, 2013) – Christmas came early for 15 families in Montgomery County this week, thanks to the caring employees and medical staff at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine. For more than 20 years, the hospital’s Adopt-A-Family program has partnered with local elementary schools to identify families who need the most help during the holiday season.
This year, Suburban Hospital employees sponsored a total of 24 parents and 49 children who received boxes upon boxes of wrapped gifts ranging from that special hobby or game to shiny new bikes for the kids to warm winter coats, clothes, shoes and family specific grocery items to keep each household supplied with food over the winter break.
