How Can I Receive a Palliative Care Evaluation and Support?
To be seen for a palliative care medicine evaluation a referral will be needed. Below explains the specifics based on if you, the patient, is in the inpatient or outpatient setting.
Inpatient:
Inpatient palliative care medicine consultation is available to patients at all Johns Hopkins Hospitals and can be requested by a patient’s primary treating team. Referrals should be placed via EPIC order. If members of the care team have questions, they can call 410-955-8305.

Outpatient:
Patients treated through Johns Hopkins Oncology services, palliative care medicine support is available both via telehealth (for patients in Maryland) and on site at the Skip Viragh Outpatient Cancer Center. Your oncologist can place a referral via EPIC or you can contact our clinic at 410-614-9892 for more information on how to schedule an appointment.
