The Low Vision Enhancement System (LVES) revolutionized the world of low vision devices. A collaboration with NASA, the Veterans Administration and Johns Hopkins University, the LVES led to the Comprehensive Vision Rehabilitation Program, which provided patients with an intensive training regimen, including evaluation, fitting and proper usage of the device. The device was introduced commercially in 1994.
