While innovative treatment, research and teaching are integral to neurocritical care at Johns Hopkins, our paramount mission is delivering neurological intensive care at the highest level.
Toward that objective, The Johns Hopkins Hospital Neurosciences Critical Care Unit (NCCU) on Zayed 3 West offers tertiary, referral-based intensive care for patients with serious, challenging and life-threatening diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system.
With 24 private rooms, the NCCU provides complete intensive care management to more than 1,700 admissions per year with patients admitted from neurosurgery, neurology, interventional neuroradiology, orthopedic/spine and otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat).
The unit’s state-of-the-art equipment and technology and individualized care plans ensure your loved one has every advantage for optimal recovery.
Our unit also includes a dedicated family lounge area with food and drink amenities, and our private rooms allow for one family member or caregiver to stay with their loved one overnight. Family members’ presence during visiting hours can help the healing process move forward.
