Support Groups

Muscular Dystrophy Association
MDA provides a wealth of information and support to those affected by any of the 43 neuromuscular diseases covered under their organization. Over 200 offices across the country provide support groups, education, equipment assistance, and other resources.

Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy
PPMD provides a supportive network for those affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). Their mission is to improve the quality of life and long-term outlook of people with DMD. They focus on research, advocacy and education.

FSH Society
The FSH Society provides information on the cause and treatment of facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy. It also assists in the organization of support groups and serves as a resource for the scientific community.

Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America
The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation helps those affected by myasthenia gravis (MG). They provide information on the diagnosis and treatment of MG. They also provide support groups, and can assist in locating community resources.

Myositis Association
The Myositis Association hosts events and provides support groups for those affected by myositis. They also produce educational publications and support clinical research efforts.
