The Johns Hopkins Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship

The Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship at Johns Hopkins is a 1-year ACGME-accredited clinical program to train neurologists in neuromuscular disorders. Fellows learn proper diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders, perform and read nerve and muscle biopsies, and learn to carry out electrodiagnostic evaluations with nerve conduction studies and electromyography.

Fellowship at a Glance:

  • Duration: 1 year (1-2 year extensions for focused research are available in the areas of muscle disorders, peripheral nerve disorders and motor neuron disease).
  • Number of positions: 2
  • How to apply: applications are accepted through the AANEM fellowship portal.
  • Important dates: Interview offers will not be made before March 1 of the year prior to the fellowship start date. Fellowship positions will not be offered before June 1 of the year prior to the fellowship start date. Violations of this will result in removal of our institution from the AANEM Fellowship Portal.
