The clinic is made up of a multidisciplinary team, including a pediatric urologist, a pediatric nurse practitioner, a pediatric behavioral psychologist and a pediatric clinical nurse, that share in the development and implementation of a specific treatment plan for each child. Visits are scheduled for one hour and generally include a combination of treatment procedures such as:
- Bladder ultrasound for measurements of urine volumes pre- and postvoid
- Urine culture
- Medication management
- Biofeedback for pelvic muscle retraining
- Establishment of voiding routine
- Assessment of barriers to adherence
- Nutrition education
- Behavior therapy
- Relapse prevention recommendations
Progress is evaluated at each visit and communicated to the child's primary care doctor.
