Biography: Dr. Bharill received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Villanova University. She then attended medical school in Puerto Rico at the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine. After completing her pediatric residency training at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, she continued her training in Baltimore at Johns Hopkins in pediatric endocrinology.

Cherry Choong, D.O. - Pediatric Endocrinology Fellow

Medical School: Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine
Residency: University of Nevada - Las Vegas
Biography: Cherry received her bachelor’s degree in Physiology and Neurobiology at the University of Maryland - College Park, followed by a master's degree in Medical Sciences at Boston University. She attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing her pediatric residency at University of Nevada - Las Vegas, she is now continuing her training at Johns Hopkins in Pediatric Endocrinology.

Biography: Maite received her bachelor's degree in integrative biology from the University of Puerto Rico. She attended medical school at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. She completed her residency program at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and stayed in Baltimore to continue training in pediatric endocrinology.

Joseph Heinemann, M.D. - Pediatric Endocrinology Fellow

Medical School: Sackler School of Medicine
Residency: Hackensack University Medical Center
Biography: Joseph Heinemann received his bachelor’s degree in Talmudic law at the Ner Israel Rabbinical College. He then attended medical school in Israel at the Sackler School of Medicine. After completing his pediatric residency at Hackensack University Medical Center, he returned to Baltimore to continue training in pediatric endocrinology at Johns Hopkins.

Heinemann, Joseph, M.D.

Min Jung Kang, M.D. - Pediatric Endocrinology Fellow

Medical School: St. George’s University School of Medicine
Residency: Elmhurst Hospital Center (Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Elmhurst Hospital Program)
Biography: Minjung Kang received her bachelor’s degree in molecular and cell biology from the University of California at Berkeley. She worked as a lab technician before studying medicine. After completing residency, she worked as a general pediatrician in a rural area, serving the community in needs. Then during the pandemic, she practiced emergency medicine. While working in the underserved area, she realized that there is a great need for pediatric endocrinologists, hence she returned to training to become a pediatric endocrinologist. She is interested in general endocrine disorders and has special interest in bone metabolic disorders.
