Vision
Transform the care of patients with kidney disease, from prevention to diagnosis to treatment, strive to provide patient-centered and best-practice care, and provide diverse opportunities for patients to participate in cutting- edge research to potentially alter the landscape of kidney disease.
Mission
Change how we care for patients at risk of and suffering from kidney disease.
Kidney Disease Research and Precision Medicine
Questions we're asking that inform us on how to best care for patients include:
Diagnosis & Prevention
Can improved clinical phenotyping aid in the early diagnosis and management of acute kidney injury? Can real-time interrogation of the electronic health record prevent iatrogenic kidney injury?

Measure Outcomes
Can prevention of acute kidney injury reduce subsequent chronic kidney disease? Does a multipronged approach, including implementation of risk tools in electronic medical records, lead to better outcomes in patients with kidney disease?

Discovery
Can we efficiently identify opportunities for enrollment in clinical trials and biorepository registries that will lead to new discoveries for treatment and prevention?
