This project involves conducting a comprehensive national survey across diverse healthcare settings to assess the current diagnostic infrastructure, antifungal stewardship, and infection control measures related to Candida species, with an emphasis on azole-resistant Candida auris. The study will distribute targeted surveys to infectious diseases specialists, clinical microbiologists, infection control practitioners, and pharmacists. Data collected will provide insights into diagnostic tool accessibility, effectiveness of antifungal stewardship, and infection prevention strategies. Results will guide improvements in diagnostic procedures, stewardship programs, and containment measures for C. auris, fostering alignment with CDC and IDSA guidelines.
