Preclinical Design and Clinical Translation of TB Regimens (PReDicTR) Consortium
Summary
Johns Hopkins University (JHU) (Eric Nuermberger, PI) will perform studies using in vitro and mouse models of tuberculosis to evaluate the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of single drugs and combinations of drugs, in collaboration with other participating laboratory groups. Data from these studies will inform mathematical modeling performed at UCSF. Drugs and compounds to be tested will be provided by collaborating partners (eg, TB Alliance) or, if commercially available, may be purchased by JHU. Dr. Nuermberger will also participate in his stated role in the activities of the Scientific Leadership Group and the Executive Committee thereof.
