The people of the Division of Hospital Medicine are what make it great. The division prides itself on “getting the right people on the bus.” One of our priorities is to ensure the professional development of our providers and staff. We do this through:

  • Research support in the form of formal research mentorship and a research assistant
  • Seed funding to obtain pilot data
  • Opportunities to disseminate our work nationally through hospital medicine grand rounds and the visiting professorship program in hospital medicine
  • Opportunities for teaching through our MD and APP fellowships
  • Professional development for our faculty and administrative staff, e.g. sending them to SHM Leadership Academy

International Opportunities

The Division of Hospital Medicine is the go-to group for many international opportunities related to hospital medicine for Johns Hopkins International. Our division has been engaged in building hospital medicine programs around the world, including:

  • Saudi Arabia
  • UAE
  • Panama
  • Puerto Rico

Opportunities exist for international visiting professorships, research partnerships, as well as virtual and in-person lectures.
