Complement Disorders Research Team
Our Mission
The Johns Hopkins Complement Disorders Research Group is a multi-disciplinary team committed to the research and care of patients with wide-spectrum of thrombotic microangiopathies and complement disorders. Our mission is to provide expert clinical care of our patients while seeking to better define the causes and best treatment strategies for these complex disorders.
This emerging field includes the rare disorders of:
- Paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea (PNH)
- Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (TTP)
- Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS)
- HELLP syndrome
- Cold agglutinins disease
- Catastrophic antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (CAPS)
