Limb Preservation and Wound Care Fellowship

Training the Next Generation of
Limb Preservation Surgeons

The Johns Hopkins Hospital is a world-class clinical institution with a diverse national and international patient population in the heart of Baltimore, Maryland. The Limb Preservation and Wound Care Fellow will receive unequaled, fully integrated multidisciplinary training to competently provide wound evaluation, surgical techniques employing evidenced-based wound salvage paradigms and complex wound reconstruction. Our proven limb preservation pathways incorporate a variety of wound modalities coupled with our technological savvy Noraxon Computer-Assisted Gait Analysis (CAGA) providing patients with the greatest opportunity for continued limb preservation and remaining in remission and ulcer-free. This service is second to none nationwide.

Through the national leadership involvement of our entire faculty, fellows are positioned for pinnacle positions in limb preservation and wound care success when they graduate. This is a meaningful twelve-month educational experience enabling the fellow to contribute their training to this vulnerable diabetic/vascular patient population to maintain their ambulation and hence their longevity to lead productive lives.
