Venkataramani’s Study Cited in U.S. Supreme Court DACA Case

Maya Venkataramani, MD, MPH published a study in 2018 that is now cited in a current U.S. Supreme Court case challenging the Trump Administration’s efforts to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). Dr. Venkataramani and colleagues (inclusive of GIM faculty, Zackary Berger, MD, PhD and Craig Pollack, MD, MHS) concluded that "rolling back DACA or instituting policies which raise the threat of deportation could result in a 'chilling effect' that could adversely affect child health."
