Education and Training

The goal of the Johns Hopkins Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology, based in Baltimore, Maryland, is to ensure that we train expert clinicians, leaders, educators and researchers who will improve the care of older adults and change the future of aging for all of us. That’s why our education and training programs span the depth and breadth of clinical and research activities of our acclaimed faculty. Whether you are a student, house officer, faculty member, or health care provider, the Division offers an educational program that is likely to interest and inspire you.

Opportunities include:

  • Clinical experiences with expert geriatricians and health care teams practicing in the full continuum of clinical services for older adults
  • Research experiences with scientists using the latest advances in molecular biology, clinical outcomes, epidemiology, population-based research, and health services research
  • Educational experiences with clinician-educators, including exposure to curriculum development and approaches to teaching
