Stephen Kennedy, M.D.
PEDIATRIC HOSPITAL MEDICINE
Dr. Kennedy specializes in caring for hospitalized children as a member of the pediatric hospitalist program at Johns Hopkins All Children's. He joined the medical staff in 2007. Dr. Kennedy received the Excellence in Service and Professional Award for Johns Hopkins All Children's in 2015 in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Clinical Awards.

Dr. Alexander specializes in the care of hospital patients at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Dr. Alexander earned his medical degree in osteopathic medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his residency and served as chief resident at the University of Florida at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. -
PEDIATRIC HOSPITAL MEDICINE
Dr. Amin is Chief Medical Informatics Officer at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. She also works as a pediatric hospitalist and is a member of several medical staff committees. She joined the hospital staff in 1991 as an academic pediatrician. Dr. Amin was named William Baumgartner Physician of the Year for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Clinical Awards for 2020. She previously received the Armstrong Award for Excellence in Quality and Safety in 2015. -

Dr. Carroll joined the All Children’s Hospitalist program in 2008. She relocated to St. Petersburg from Allentown, PA where she practiced inpatient and outpatient pediatrics at Sacred Heart Hospital for 18 years and served as the chairperson of pediatrics. Dr. Carroll is a graduate of Bologna University Medical School in Bologna, Italy and completed her pediatric residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. She is board certified in pediatrics. -
PEDIATRIC HOSPITAL MEDICINE
Dr. Collins is a pediatric hospitalist and the associate program director of the pediatric hospital medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the hospital in 2014 and serves as a core faculty member of the pediatric residency program and co-director of the residency program’s hospitalist rotation. Dr. Collins is a graduate of the University of Toledo College of Medicine, where she also completed her pediatric residency and served as chief pediatric resident. Her academic interests include medical education and simulation. -
PEDIATRIC HOSPITAL MEDICINE
Dr. Dees serves as the medical director for Utilization Management and physician adviser supporting the Utilization Management, Case Management and Health Information Management teams at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. In her role, she collaborates with many teams across the institution to ensure our facility is complying with health regulations and policies while providing high quality, evidence-based, comprehensive and family-centered care. Dr. Dees practices as a pediatric hospitalist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She cares for patients with common pediatric conditions, as well as children with medical complexity, who require hospitalization. Her clinical interests include improving discharge planning and evaluating processes that may help reduce or prevent readmissions. -

Dr. Degan specializes in the care of hospitalized patients for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She sees patients at the Johns Hopkins All Children's main campus in St. Petersburg, and joined the medical staff in 2018. She earned her medical degree at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. Dr. Degan completed her pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. -

Dr. Dudas is chief academic hospitalist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He is an associate professor of pediatrics and associate director of general pediatrics and adolescent medicine in the Department of Pediatrics for the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Dudas also serves as chair of general pediatrics, hospital and adolescent medicine at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and is program director of the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship. He joined the hospital staff in 2015. His clinical and education focus is on developing the pediatric residency program and directing the pediatric hospital medicine fellowship. Dr. Dudas’ educator ratings have placed him consistently among the top 10 percent of educators in the department of pediatrics for 10 years. In 2014, he received an international award for teaching from the Council on Medical Student Education in Pediatrics (COMSEP) and in 2015 he received the Academic Pediatric Association Teaching Award for Faculty. -

Dr. Gonzalez specializes in caring for hospitalized children for Johns Hopkins All Children’s. She joined the hospital staff in 2020. She was previously a pediatric hospitalist in the Division of Hospital Medicine at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami. Dr. Gonzalez earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She completed her pediatrics residency and fellowship in pediatric hospital medicine at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. -
PEDIATRIC HOSPITAL MEDICINE
Dr. Hopkins specializes in caring for hospitalized children and serves as residency program director at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. She has been a core faculty educator since 2014, the first year of the program. Dr. Hopkins has developed the Quality Improvement, Patient Safety and Patient Experience longitudinal multimodal curriculum for the pediatric residents. Her research interests involve developing a bridging leader role between Graduate Medical Education and Health Care Delivery in order to create a truly integrated clinical learning environment. She graduated from the Armstrong Institute Leadership in Quality and Patient Safety in May 2018 with a research focus on High Value Care. Dr. Hopkins graduated from the seven-year combine program at University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida. She completed her residency and served as chief resident at the University of Florida College of Medicine, Jacksonville, Florida. -

Dr. Killgoar joined All Children’s in 2009. She completed her pediatric residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and is board certified in pediatrics. -

Dr. Major joined the practice in 2005. She is board certified in pediatrics. She is a graduate of the University of Pecs Medical School in Pecs, Hungary. Dr. Major completed her pediatric residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, also serving as chief resident. Dr. Major currently is a subject matter expert for the ongoing development of All Children’s electronic medical record. -

Dr. Maniscalco specializes in caring for hospitalized children at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the medical staff in 2018. Dr. Maniscalco's research focus in on learner motivation and autonomy, and the impact of these qualities on learning in the clinical environment. Her educational focus is on learner assessment and curriculum development in graduate medical education, and professional development in medical education and pediatric hospital medicine (PHM). She is the proud recipient of the 2017 PHM Award for Educational Excellence and the co-recipient with national colleagues of the 2017 and 2018 PHM Award for Collaborative Impact. -
PEDIATRIC HOSPITAL MEDICINE
Dr. Martello cares for hospitalized patients in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Department of Medicine. He previously worked as an associate program director in the pediatric residency program at the University of Kansas where he received the Highest Honor in Medical Teaching of Residents and Medical Students. He has experience as a pediatric hospitalist taking care of both sick children and well newborns in the newborn nursery. -

Dr. Ortega Fernandez specializes in hospital medicine and primarily treats patients at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital through a collaborative arrangement with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, which she joined in 2022. Previously, Dr. Ortega Fernandez worked at Kidz Medical Services Inc., as well as Palm Beach Children’s Hospital at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. She also worked at West Boca Medical Center in Boca Raton, Florida, and Bethesda Memorial Hospital East in Boynton Beach, Florida. -

Dr. Patel is a pediatric hospitalist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined hospital staff in 2016. Dr. Patel earned her medical degree at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. She trained in pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Patel completed a residency fellowship in health policy at George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services. Her professional interests include hospitalist medicine, advocacy, global health, medical literacy and medical education. -

Dr. Quigley specializes in caring for hospitalized children and is education rotation director at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Additionally, she is an assistant professor of pediatrics for the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She joined hospital staff in 2015. Dr. Quigley earned her medical degree from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. She trained in pediatrics at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, where she also served as chief resident. Dr. Quigley then earned a master’s of medical education from the University of Iowa. -

Dr. Siraj is a pediatric hospitalist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the hospital staff in 2014. Dr. Siraj earned her medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine. She completed her intern year at University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital and completed her pediatric residency at the University of South Florida. -

Dr. Young is chair of the Department of Pediatric Medicine. She joined the pediatric hospitalist program at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in 2010. A graduate of the University of South Florida (USF) College of Medicine, she completed her pediatric residency at USF and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the hospital’s Medicine Quality of Care Committee in 2011.

She joined the hospital staff in 2014. She earned her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine and a master’s in public health from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory in Atlanta. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Colorado-Denver. -

Dr. Lesnick specializes in caring for hospitalized children for Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the medical staff in 2018. She primarily sees patients at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Dr. Van De Star earned her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, graduating first in her class. She completed her residency in general pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
