Melissa Crenshaw, MD

Medical Genetics

Dr. Crenshaw is the medical director for the Clinical Genetics Program at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and also serves as an assistant professor with Johns Hopkins Medicine. Her research interests include congenital heart defects, chromosome abnormalities and Turner Syndrome. She has additional expertise in the genetics of congenital heart disease and connective tissue disorders. Dr. Crenshaw is board certified in pediatrics and clinical genetics.

Nadia Falah, MD, MSci

Medical Genetics

Dr. Falah is a clinical geneticist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. She joined the hospital staff in 2023. Dr. Falah earned her medical degree from Tripoli University of Medical Science in Tripoli, Libya. She completed a residency in clinical genetics at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine and a fellowship in Medical Biochemical Genetics at Duke University. Dr. Falah possesses dual board certification by the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG) in Medical Genetics and Genomics, as well as Medical Biochemical Genetics.

Meral Gunay-Aygun, MD

Medical Genetics

Dr. Gunay-Aygun specializes in genetic medicine and metabolic genetics at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. She joined the medical staff in 2022 after 14 years as an attending physician at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Gunay-Aygun is a professor of pediatrics and genetic medicine in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of children with inherited metabolic diseases.

Alexander Kim, MD

Medical Genetics

Dr. Kim is a physician in the Genetics Program at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and an assistant professor of genetic medicine in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He joined the medical staff in 2021 as the first board-certified medical biochemical geneticist at the hospital. He has a clinical and research interest in inborn errors of metabolism. Dr. Kim is board-certified in pediatrics, medical genetics, and medical biochemical genetics.
