PATIENT AND FAMILY CENTERED CARE DIRECTOR
Heather Bailey is the Director of Patient and Family Centered Care at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the hospital staff in 2007. Heather earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology-Child Life from Utica College of Syracuse University in Utica, New York, followed by an internship at Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando, Florida. She completed a master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. Heather is honored to be a part of this organization and team to serve patients and families in this community. -

CHILD LIFE SUPERVISOR
Dara Jackson, BS, CCLS is the Child Life Supervisor for the Child Life Activity Techs, Recreation Gaming Specialist and Child Life Aides and serves as the outpatient Child Life Specialist. She joined the hospital staff in 2008. Jackson is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. Before joining our hospital, Jackson worked in Child Life, specializing in hematology/oncology. Jackson is a member of the Association of Child Life Professionals.

CHILD LIFE EDUCATION SPECIALIST
Leah Maloney is the Child Life Education Specialist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the hospital staff in 2018. In addition to handling staff and student education for the Child Life Department, she also covers peri-operative services. Leah earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and her master’s degree in Child Development and Family Relations with a concentration in child life from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. Leah has served as both Secretary and President of the Florida Association of Child Life Professionals during her career. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Mallory Adams is a certified child life specialist in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Family, Youth and Community Sciences from the University of Florida, followed by a master’s degree in Child Life from the University of Georgia. Mallory completed a child life internship at Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Margaret “Maggie” Avenel is a certified child life specialist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s providing child life services to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She graduated with her Master of Child Life in 2023 from Southern Louisiana University. She completed her child life internship at Mount Sinai South Nassau, and obtained her Child Life Certification in 2023. Maggie has previously worked at another Florida hospital, and as a vision therapist and is excited to bring her experience and passion for child life to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the team in February 2025. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Claire Christian has been a certified child life specialist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital since 2020. Christian earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and completed additional child life courses at the University of California Santa Barbara. She completed her practicum at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and internship at Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Christian earned a Certification in Grief Counseling in 2021 and is now completing a master’s degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Madelyn Cunningham is a Child Life Specialist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital providing child life services to the neuro-surgical inpatient unit. She joined the Child Life department in 2024 as a Child Life Activity Tech after earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North Georgia. Madelyn completed her Child Life internship at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and moved into the Child Life Specialist role in 2026. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Madison Guy is a child life specialist in the General Pediatrics Unit at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the hospital staff in 2021. Guy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Human Development with a minor in Psychology from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Rayna is a certified child life specialist in the Emergency Center at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. She is a graduate of Ball State University and received her Bachelor’s degree in Child Life and Family Studies in 2013. Rayna completed her child life internship at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital and became certified in child life in March of 2014. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Leah Frohnerath is a certified child life specialist in the Child Life department at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She also coordinates the Johns Hopkins All Children’s pet therapy program. She joined the hospital staff in 2013. In her role, Frohnerath works with a Labrador Retriever facility dog named Brea (Bray-uh). Together, they provide child life services to children in radiology, the Infusion Center, the pediatric intensive care unit, the cardiac intensive care unit and the cancer and blood disorders unit. Frohnerath earned a bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Florida State University, followed by a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Jontae Hohn is a certified child life specialist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s providing child life services to the Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant unit. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Healthcare with a concentration in Children’s Mental Health and a Bachelor of Art in Studio Art from University of South Florida. Jontae earned her Master of Science in Child Life from Missouri State University. Jontae completed a child life practicum with Connect123 in South Africa. She completed her child life internship at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, and obtained her Child Life Certification in 2024. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Krystle Hunter is a certified child life specialist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Outpatient Center, Tampa providing child life services to all clinical areas. She graduated with her Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education with Emphasis in Child Life from Mills College in Oakland, California. She completed her child life internship at Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford in Palo Alto, California, and obtained her Child Life Certification in 2015. Krystle has previously worked at multiple hospitals in Nevada, Texas and Florida and is excited to bring her experience and passion for child life to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the team in January 2024. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Janice Paton has been a certified child life specialist in the Palliative Care team at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital since 2024. Janice earned a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education in Kennesaw in Georgia and Master of Theology from St. Leo’s University. She completed her internship with Partners in Care at Chapters Health. She earned her Child Life Certification in 2021. Janice earned a Certification in Grief Counseling in 2023. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Renee Savic is a certified child life specialist in the Radiology Department at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She graduated from Florida State University and received her Bachelor’s degree in Family, Child, and Consumer Sciences. Before joining the staff at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in 2012, Renee worked at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Tampa for 18 years where she was the child life coordinator. Renee has served as President of the Florida Association of Child Life Professionals and on various committees for the Association of Child Life Professionals. Renee received the Mary Barkey Clinical Excellence Award in 2018. This award is presented annually to an individual child life specialist who has demonstrated exemplary child life care and a high level of clinical skill. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Natalie Schmidt is a certified child life specialist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s providing child life services to the CDH unit and pediatric medicine. In 2025, Natalie was also matched with Johns Hopkins All Children’s second facility dog, Boomer and has since added Facility Dog Handler to her skillset in how she supports patients and families in a variety of care settings. She graduated with her Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She completed her child life practicum at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and her child life internship at Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, and obtained her Child Life Certification in 2019. Natalie has previously worked at another children’s hospital in Virginia and is excited to bring her experience and passion for child life to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the team in August 2024. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Micah Stipp is a certified child life specialist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s providing child life services to the CDH unit and dialysis unit. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Human Development and Family Sciences from University of Arkansas. Micah previously worked as a child life specialist in Texas before joining the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Child Life department in 2026. -

CHILD LIFE SPECIALIST
Anna Zieba is a child life specialist at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the hospital staff in 2021. Before joining our hospital, Zieba worked as a child life specialist in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, New York. She also worked as a child life specialist and perinatal bereavement coordinator in the Women’s and Children’s Services at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. Zieba earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Arizona, followed by a master’s degree in Professional Studies, Art Therapy from the School of Visual Arts. She completed a child life internship at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.

CHILD LIFE ACTIVITY TECH
Jenni Bailey is a Child Life Activity Tech at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the Child Life department in 2026. Jenni earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota and has years of experience in camp programming and classroom management. Jenni helps provide support to the neurosurgical unit and the cardiovascular intensive care unit by providing opportunities for play and diversion for patients and their families. She also helps offer crafts and activities for RJ’s Activity Center. -

Emily Seggebruch is a Child Life Activity Tech at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She joined the Child Life department in 2024 shortly after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida. Emily helps provide support to pediatric medicine by providing opportunities for play and diversion for patients and their families. She also helps to offer crafts and activities for RJ’s Activity Center. -

Sophia Shirmohammad is a Child Life Activity Tech at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She has earned her Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies & Community Leadership from Saint Petersburg College and has worked and volunteered in a variety of local human service organizations prior to joining the Child Life department in 2026. Sophia helps provide support to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and pediatric medicine by providing opportunities for play and diversion for patients and their families. She also helps to plan daily crafts and activities for RJ’s Activity Center.
