Interim Vice President, Human Resources

Theresa Levering

Theresa Levering is the interim vice president of human resources at Johns Hopkins All Children’s. She leads the HR and occupational health teams, and guides leadership development, employee engagement and other key human resources initiatives for the more than 3,000 employees based at the hospital’s St. Petersburg campus and its outpatient locations across several Florida counties. She joined the hospital staff in 2024 and has served as human resources director.

As human resources director, Levering has led the hospital’s local human resources team and worked with the central HR team and leaders throughout the hospital to develop and manage human capital initiatives that support strategic objectives, while keeping employee experience at the forefront. 

She has more than 20 years of HR management experience, including leadership roles at HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital and H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, with a strong focus on employee experience and engagement. During her time at Sarasota Doctors Hospital, the organization was recognized as one of Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work for nine consecutive years. 

Levering holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, and a Master of Arts in management from the University of Phoenix in Tampa.
