Interim Chief Financial Officer, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center

Since joining the Medical Center as executive director of finance in January 2024, Will has brought strong strategic and operational leadership to the organization’s financial performance, managing a $900 million operating budget and a $40 million capital plan. He has been instrumental in aligning financial strategy with long-term institutional goals and strengthening our fiscal foundation for growth. Among his many accomplishments, Will led the expansion of pharmacy opportunities across multiple service lines, generating multimillion-dollar performance improvements. These efforts enabled us to make critical reinvestments in patient care programs, our academic mission, workforce support and campus infrastructure.

Will joined Johns Hopkins in 2015 as a senior financial analyst in the School of Medicine, where he quickly established himself as a strategic partner to department leadership. In 2019, he transitioned into the role of finance manager for the Department of Medicine, supporting some of the institution’s largest clinical divisions. Prior to his current role at Johns Hopkins Bayview, Will served as director of finance for Johns Hopkins Care at Home. There, he led enterprise-wide budget and planning efforts across six distinct business entities. He was instrumental in advancing process improvements, financial integration and long-term planning initiatives. Throughout his tenure, Will has been consistently recognized for his ability to collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to define goals, establish business metrics and drive measurable progress toward key milestones.
