Tom Letnz

Tom Lentz is the vice president of facilities management for the Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS). In this role, he provides system-level management and coordination for all entities managed by the facilities department, including The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Prior to becoming vice president, Lentz served in the health system facilities department for more than 25 years. He began his career with Johns Hopkins repairing computers and advanced through leadership roles. A certified healthcare facility manager and member of the American Society for Health Care Engineering, Lentz has led major system integrations and spearheaded sustainable, data-driven maintenance programs across the enterprise.

Lentz previously led the facilities engineering team for The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, supporting close to 10 million square feet of complex clinical and research space.

Throughout his tenure, he managed a diverse staff and built strong, professional relationships with team members and colleagues across the health system. His commitment to the mission and values of Johns Hopkins helped foster a respectful, accountable workplace.

Lentz holds master’s degrees in advanced information systems from Stevenson University (formerly Villa Julie College) and in business administration from the University of Baltimore. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from Stevenson University.
