Sharon Smyth, DNP, RN, CENP, chief nursing officer and vice president of nursing at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, first came to Johns Hopkins in 2018. She previously served as senior director of nursing for the Department of Emergency Medicine at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview. Dr. Smyth spent the first 16 years of her career as a registered nurse, working in England, California and Connecticut. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she proudly served as chief nursing officer for the Baltimore Convention Center Field Hospital.
