There is an ATM machine in the main lobby for your convenience.

Because we want to provide the best service possible to our patients and families, Howard County Medical Center provides free wireless internet access. This service is available throughout the hospital, including patient rooms, main lobby, and cafeteria.
Connecting to JHGuestnet is straightforward and a similar process for both Android and IOS operating systems. Simply find the wireless signal broadcasting JHGuestnet and click connect. If it prompts you to enter an email address, please provide a valid email address. If you are prompted with a message stating "cannot verify server identity," choose to continue. View additional instructions.
You should be aware that you will be on a non-secure computer network, separate from the hospital’s secure internal network. HCMC prohibits accessing, viewing, displaying, downloading, and/or copying offensive or inappropriate material while using the Public Wireless Internet Access on the Hospital campus.
HCMC cannot provide or loan laptops or computers to visitors or patients, and our Information Technology Department cannot provide technical support for non-HCMC laptops and computers.We hope you enjoy this service and that it helps to meet your communications needs while you are our guest or visitor.

According to federal and state laws, Joint Commission Standards and Johns Hopkins policy, equal access and communication assistance will be provided to all patients with communication needs and those assisting them in the provision of care.
Howard County Medical Center will provide interpretation services to the patient and those assisting them in the provision of care when having medical discussions on behalf of the patient. Interpretation will be provided by in person interpreters (IPI), over the phone (OPI) or video remote interpretation (VRI) for spoken languages and American Sign Language (ASL).

If your condition permits, cards, flowers, non-latex balloons and fruit baskets sent by family and friends will be delivered to your room daily. Fruit baskets and other perishable food must be sent home within 24 hours.
If the hospital receives your mail after you are discharged, we will forward it to you. Outgoing mail may be given to the patient clerical assistant at the nurses’ station or placed in mailboxes located adjacent to the main entrance. If flowers are delivered after you leave, the florist will be notified of your discharge so they can be delivered to your home.

Feldman's Pharmacy is on the lower level of the Columbia Medical Center at 11055 Little Patuxent Parkway. This pharmacy is not operated by Howard County Medical Center or Johns Hopkins Medicine.

The Right Touch Gift Shop is located on the first floor of Howard County Medical Center. A variety of snacks, flowers, gifts, toys, cards and toiletries are available. We offer convenient day and evening hours. Call 410-740-7985 for more information.
Dining at Howard County Medical Center

Our full-service cafeteria is located on the basement level of the hospital and serves a wide variety of hot and cold entrees including made-to-order salads, brick oven pizza, soups, sandwiches, grill items, freshly rolled sushi and more.
Visitors may order meals from the hospital cafeteria through Grubhub. Users can place an order and pick it up from the designated rack in the cafeteria. On the Grubhub app, go to Account, tap Campus Dining and search “Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center.” Then, view the list of on-site retail venues and place your order. You will be notified when your order is ready for pickup.Breakfast: 7 - 10 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Dinner: 3 - 7 p.m.Order Guest Meals through Grubhub
Guests may order meals through Grubhub for a flat $12 fee per meal. The meal will include an entrée, two sides, two beverages and a dessert and will be delivered to the patient’s room. See instructions. This applies to all inpatient units except the Maternal Child Unit and Labor and Delivery. -
Starbucks is located in the main lobby of Howard County Medical Center. It is open Monday-Friday, 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Ordering is available during those hours through the Starbucks mobile app.

Vending machines are located in waiting areas throughout the hospital.
