The cashier’s office, located on the main level of the Francis Scott Key Pavilion, provides a safe to secure your personal valuables, if needed, and accepts payments for your hospital bills. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Personnel are stationed at desks throughout the campus to answer questions, provide directions and be of assistance in any way possible.

Lost and found items are kept in the security office located in the Administrative Services Center building. Please call 410-550-0333 for more information.

Wheelchairs are available at the BMO and Pavilion entrances to the Medical Center. If you need assistance, please ask a security guard or registrar.

Free wireless Internet service is available throughout the hospital and in all patient rooms. The “JHGuestnet” wireless network is for use by the hospital’s guests and visitors.

- Next, launch your web browser (if it does not pop up automatically) and enter your email address (see screenshot for smartphones)

Johns Hopkins provides free interpreter services to patients to ensure that you can communicate with, and get information from, your health care providers. If you would like to have a medical interpreter throughout your appointment, please see Language Services for more information.
For telephonic interpretation, the Cyracom foreign language phones are available on every patient unit. Your nurse can assist you. For sign language interpreters or to arrange for a TTY (text telephone), your nurse can assist you, or you can call Patient Support at 410-550-0627.

Mail is picked up from the mailroom once daily. The nursing staff will bring your mail to your room. Stamped outgoing mail may be left with the nursing unit secretary for mailing. Mail collection boxes are located at the entrances to the Pavilion (red awning) and the John R. Burton Pavilion

The Community Health Library at Johns Hopkins Bayview is here to help you become an informed partner in your health care.
Patients, visitors and members of the surrounding community are welcome to use the Community Health Library and borrow materials. The librarian can help you find a range of books on health and other topics, and assist you with computer access, internet and printing.
The Community Health Library is located on the main (01) level of the Medical Center, down the hall from the BMO (blue awning) entrance, past the pharmacy and to the right.
The library is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed each day from noon to 1 p.m.).

Johns Hopkins maintains round-the-clock security. Protective services officers posted inside and outside all Medical Center buildings continuously patrol all areas of the campus.

A full-service pharmacy located in the Bayview Medical Offices building can fill your prescriptions and offer over-the-counter medications.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Most prescriptions can be filled while you wait.

The gift shop is located in the Francis Scott Key Pavilion. A variety of snacks, drinks, gifts, toys, cards and toiletries are available. We offer convenient day and evening hours. Call 410-550-0266 for more information.

The labyrinth at Johns Hopkins Bayview is a spiral walking course that leads into the center and back out. There are no dead ends or false turns.
It offers community members, patients, visitors and employees a peaceful, quiet and "healing" space.

Located on the main level of the Pavilion near the Red Awning. Food stations include Lemongrass (Asian), Umami Sushi, Super Bowl (build a meal in a bowl), The Greens Project (salads and soups), Prime Grill (veggie and meat burgers) and Rocco’s Brick Oven Pizza. Open 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Offerings include fresh-brewed coffee, tea, espresso, cappuccino, fruit smoothies and frozen blended coffee drinks, as well as sandwiches, salads, soup, bagels, muffins, pastries and desserts.

Offers hot coffee, breakfast sandwiches, lunch specials, sodas and snacks.
Medical social workers work closely with doctors, nurses, discharge coordinators, administrative staff, therapists and other health care professionals. They prepare patients and family members for life after leaving the hospital and assist with discharge planning, psychosocial counseling, grief counseling, case management and referrals.
There is no charge for this confidential assistance. You or your family may request this service by calling 410-550-0296 or by asking your doctor or nurse to make a referral for you.
