GIM assistant professor Craig Pollack, MD, MHS, MS, had an editorial published in the Sunday, October 2nd, issue of the New York Times. Dr. Pollack and his co-author Julia F. Lynch, PhD, from the University of Pennsylvania wrote, in an essay titled "Foreclosures Are Killing Us," on connections between housing foreclosure and health problems, and find that poor health can figure as either a cause or an effect of loss of housing. The editorial suggests intervention in this crisis and a potential source of funding for the required assistance.
