At 10 p.m. ET, Wednesday, Jan. 31, ABC-TV's MEDICAL MYSTERIES will feature a story about Hopkins patient, Jason Booros, who was diagnosed and treated here in the mid 1990's for Takayasu's arteritis, a very rare condition of unknown origin that leads to inflammation of large arterial blood vessels (vasculitis). Often referred to as *pulseless disease,* this condition can lead to a narrowing of body's main arteries, producing dramatic variations in blood pressure and flow in the arms, heart and neck. Featured with Jason will be his physician, John A. Flynn, M.D., M.B.A., associate professor and clinical director of the Division of General Internal Medicine at Hopkins. The case is representative of the clinical presentations discussed at biweekly Tumulty Rounds for physicians in the Osler training program of the Department of Medicine.
