SGIM Annual Meeting 2006
Many Hopkins GIM faculty, fellows, and alumni attended the 29th Annual Meeting of the Society of General
Internal Medicine (SGIM) in Los Angeles on April 26-29, 2006. The theme of the 2006 meeting was "Activism to Promote the Health of Patients and the Public," and addressed issues related to improving care for adults through innovation and partnerships on the community, national, and global levels. The meeting offered sessions that blended content for clinicians, educators, researchers and policymakers. Each of the daily themes was set in morning plenary sessions and echoed in the various workshops, special symposia and presentations throughout the day. Thank you to all Hopkins GIM participants and attendees for such a successful meeting.
