Radiology resident Peter Kamel wins 2016 SIIM hackathon challenge
2016 Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine Hackathon Grand Challenge

Incoming radiology resident Peter Kamel (currently a medical intern at St. Agnes Hospital), with guidance from the TIC, won the 2016 Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine Hackathon Grand Challenge. The three-day coding competition challenges participants to use integrations for allowing external applications to access the EMR, radiology and workflow information. Peter's application helps radiologists view information from multiple sources in one, simple dashboard. Read the article.

Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine Chair

As part of the SIIM annual meeting held in Portland Oregon, June 29 to July 1, TIC's co-director Paul Nagy officially assumed is role as Society Chair and will lead the society in the coming year.
