    The combined anesthesiology and emergency medicine residency program offers a unique opportunity for trainees to obtain dual-board certification in two highly complementary fields. With high yield training in procedural skills and critical care management applicable to the Emergency Department, peri-operative setting, and critical care unit, graduates of this unique program – eligible for dual board certification - are a unique commodity in academic and community settings, with a broad skillset that can also be valuable in lower resource communities.

Training well-rounded and versatile clinicians who treat all patients seeking care, our program encourages residents to develop critical skills around lifelong learning and inspires them to develop expertise within a specialized niche in emergency medicine through our unique Focused Advanced Specialty Training (FAST) year.
