Meet Our Assistant Director

Nicholas Farace PA-C
Nicholas is a physician assistant specializing in critical care medicine, currently practicing in the Surgical and Burn Intensive Care Units at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He began his role in 2022 after completing the Johns Hopkins Postgraduate PA Critical Care Residency, where he developed advanced expertise in the management of complex, high-acuity patients.
He earned his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine, graduating with honors in 2021. Prior to his career as a physician assistant, Nicholas worked as a paramedic in both 911 emergency response and critical care transport, experiences that continue to inform his clinical approach in the intensive care setting.
Nicholas’s professional interests include the use of point-of-care ultrasound in the evaluation and management of shock, trauma resuscitation, and the education and mentorship of physician assistant trainees in critical care environments, with a focus on fostering clinical excellence and advancing critical care education through simulation training.
