  • Post Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS) This website is created by the Society of Critical Care Medicine for ICU patients and their families. This helpful information discusses the health problems often faced by patients after ICU, how patients and their family can deal with PICS, and potential clinical /specialist resources for patients and families experiencing PICS. There are other links and videos at the bottom of the page that can serve as a resource to ICU patients and their families.

  • www.improveLTO.com This NIH-funded project has completed the development of many FREE resources for researchers conducting long-term follow-up of patients. 1. A database of common surveys and tests for evaluating physical, cognitive, mental health, and quality of life outcomes; 2. Adaptable tools, templates, and manuals to reduce loss to follow-up of research participants, including an interactive searchable database of >600 retention strategies; and 3. A standalone statistical application to address “truncation due to death” when evaluating functional outcomes.
