Caroline Vissers is a graduate student at Johns Hopkins Medicine University School of Medicine. Her essay “Diversity at the Top of the Social Media Signaling Cascade” won 3rd place in the Lasker Foundation Essay Contest.
Using color to represent different moments in time, researchers were able to study what genetic combinations are needed throughout development to build a mouse eye.
