On Tuesday, December 5, between 5 to 6 p.m., Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center will kick off the holiday season with its annual Light the Labyrinth celebration.

This year's program features:

  • Reflections on light from Jewish, Muslim and African-American perspectives
  • Musical performance by Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke School children's choir and All 4 One Creative Arts
  • Lighting of the campus
  • Light refreshments

Every person who attends also will place a candle on the labyrinth, creating a display of light and peace.

WHEN: Tuesday, December 5, from 5 to 6 p.m.

WHY: This annual event kicks off the holiday season on Johns Hopkins Bayview’s unique space – the labyrinth. Community members join Medical Center staff to reflect on the role of light in various faith traditions and share what brings them hope during the holidays.

Light the Labyrinth is free and open to the public. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be held in the Asthma & Allergy Center (see campus map)
